Maggie Sweeney is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in suicide prevention, a field she began exploring as a 21-year-old volunteer answering the midnight shift at a crisis hotline. What started as a curious decision quickly turned into a lifelong passion. Over the years, Maggie has gained diverse experience across various settings, including local crisis centers, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, the 988 crisis helpline, and outpatient counseling. She actively supports Hope Network’s Zero Suicide Initiatives and is a certified AMSR and QPR instructor. Maggie values the dynamic nature of this work, as it challenges her both intellectually and emotionally. In addition to her counseling work, she works at Mind Body Soulutions LLC, where she provides individual therapy. Outside of her professional life, Maggie is an avid backgammon player, having placed in both national and international tournaments.
